What is Hepatitis A?

Hepatitis A is a virus that causes an acute illness which mainly targets the liver. It can either cause a mild, self-terminating disease or liver failure, especially in pregnant women.

It is very similar to an acute Hepatitis B infection. It is a very infectious disease and can easily transmit through contaminated food and water.

It presents as

  4. Jaundice
  5. Pain in the right upper abdomen
  6. Tiredness.
