- Hypertonic infusion: In hypertonic infusion we use a solution which has a higher concentration of solutes than our human body fluids.
- Hypotonic infusion: A solution with a lower concentration of solutes than the body’s fluid is used.
- Isotonic infusion: A solution with the same concentration of solutes as the body’s fluid is used.
