What is Hemoglobin and its uses?
- Hemoglobin (Hb or Hgb) forms the main part of the red blood cells (RBCs). Hb consists of a protein known as globin and a compound called heme. The compound heme is made up of iron and pigment known as porphyrin, which provides blood its red color.
