He is among the most successful Nephrologists in India, specializing in primary & secondary Glomerular Diseases, Haemodialysis and Precision. Dr. Saxena completed his MBBS, MD (General Medicine) and DNB (Nephrology) from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi. He has done a course in Nephrology from AIIMS and was the Reviewer of Abstracts for World Congress of Nephrology, Vancouver, Canada. He has been awarded the fellowships of Indian Society of Nephrology and Geriatric Society of India. Prior to joining PSRI, he was associated with AIIMS, New Delhi, at different posts which include Senior Resident at the Department of Medicine, Pool Officer at the Department of Nephrology, and Assistant Professor at the Department of Nephrology. In his 3 decades of practice, Dr. Sanjiv Saxena has trained many aspiring Nephrologists, and has authored more than 15 publications. Some of his publications include ‘Examination Blues’ in the British Medical Journal, ‘Specializing for Whom? Correspondence’ in the National Medical Journal of India, ‘Funny Rib: Maleria Indomedica’ in the British Med Journal, and many more. He has been awarded the Distinguished Service Award by Geriatric Society of India, Sir Dorabjee Tata Award for Biochemistry, Institute Book Prize for Pharmacology, and the Best Paper Presentation at the Annual Conference, Indian Society of Nephrology, Vishakapatnam. Dr. Sanjiv was the editor of the Renal Section in “A Guide to Elderly Care” in 2009. He possesses memberships of various prestigious associations, which include the Indian Society of Nephrology, National Academy of Medical Sciences, Association of Physicians of India, Indian Society of Organ Transplantation, Inspection Committee of the Ministry of Health of Madhya Pradesh, and Ethics & Research of the Chronic Care Foundation
