Contrast medium injections may be given to you, usually in your arm. Blood vessels are highlighted by this contrast medium that enters your bloodstream, enhancing the visualization of specific structures. The contrast injection can cause a brief sensation of warmth, but it will dissipate in a matter of seconds. It is excreted in your urine over a period of 15-30 minutes. Please inform the staff if you feel any discomfort or pain during the injection.The radiation dose you’ll receive during the CT scan is kept to a minimum, and there are no visible side effects.
