The SMART PEAK FLOW Bluetooth Adapter is an electronic device intended to connect the SMART PEAK FLOW digital peak expiratory flow meter and any smartphone with a sufficient Bluetooth connection. This device is best used with smartphones without a 3.5mm audio jack socket as it eliminates the need to use any adapters.
SMART PEAK FLOW is an electronic device that accurately measures your peak expiratory flow (PEF). The purpose of the device is asthma monitoring. Make sure you purchase a SMART PEAK FLOW device, as this Bluetooth Adapter is intended to and will only work and measure PEF with a SMART PEAK FLOW device connected to it.
How to Setup Your Device?
- Before using your SMART PEAK FLOW device, make sure you have read and clearly understood the User Manual contents found in the packaging of your peak expiratory flow meter device.
- Before using your SMART PEAK FLOW device with this Bluetooth Adapter, install the SMART PEAK FLOW app, which you can get free from the App Store (for Apple) and the Play Store (for Android devices).
- This Bluetooth Adapter connects directly via a 3.5mm audio jack to the SMART PEAK FLOW device and via Bluetooth to your phone, thus eliminating the need for a physical connection between the two.

How to Use Your Smart Peak Flow Device With The Bluetooth Adapter
- Launch the SMART PEAK FLOW app and follow the instructions for taking measurements found in the User Manual of the SMART PEAK FLOW peak expiratory flow meter device.
- When asked in the app to select your device type, choose Bluetooth Device”.
- That’s it! Now you can use your Smart Peak flow device like it was connected directly to your phone. Follow the instructions on the screen to take your first measurement.
The Functions Of The Bluetooh Adapter
- To turn the device on, press the button on its face for 3 seconds (you will see three blue flashes of light during these 3 seconds). The device will enter into pairing mode (you will see flashing blue and red lights). If it has Okay, let’s go! been paired with a smartphone before it will automatically connect to the same phone if Bluetooth is turned on (you will see constant blue light)
- To turn the device off, press the button for 3 seconds (you will see three red flashes of light during these 3 seconds)
- The device automatically turns off 2 minutes after being turned off to save battery. We recommend turning your device off once you are done with the measurements to preserve the battery further.
Charging: Connect the Micro-USB charging cable to the Bluetooth Adapter and the USB of the line to any computer or a wall socket via Wall Adapter. (You will see a constant red light when the device is charging.) The battery charging time from 0 to 100% is approximately 30 minutes. You can use up to 4 hours after a full charge.

How to connect to SMART PEAK FLOW device
- Press the button on the face of the device for 3 seconds to enter pairing mode (the ring around the button will start flashing red and blue)
- Enter the settings menu on your smartphone and find the Bluetooth settings.
- In the Bluetooth settings, press, Pair new device”. Now wait for SmartPeakFlow” to appear on the list and tap on it. You might get prompted to confirm that you want to Pair the Bluetooth Adapter; if this is the case, press. Pair”. (if the pairing is successful, the ring around the button will show constant blue light) (You will only have to pair the Bluetooth Adapter to your phone once, it will then remember it and automatically connect to your phone the next time you turn it on.)
- Now plug your SMART PEAK FLOW device into the Bluetooth Adapter, and you are ready to go!

- When SMART PEAK FLOW is used to monitor asthma, you should be under the care of a physician or other licensed healthcare professional.
- Before using your SMART PEAK FLOW device with or without this Bluetooth Adapter, make sure you have read and clearly understood the User Manual content found in the package of your SMART PEAK FLOW peak expiratory flow meter device.
- Please read all the User Manual information before using this device and make sure you have read and clearly understood the User Manual’s content.

- Please do not drop the device or mistreat it in any way. Avoid strong vibration. Do not expose the device to extreme temperature, humidity, dust, sand or chemical substances, or direct air currents (e.g. wind), heat or cold sources.
- Use and store the device in compliance with the environmental conditions specified in the Technical Specifications. If the device is subjected to environmental conditions other than those set, it may malfunction.
- Do not modify the device without authorization from the manufacturer. All modifications, adjustments, repairs, reconfigurations must be performed by the manufacturer or by authorized personnel. In case of problems, do not try to repair the device yourself.
